EuroTrash 1.0
Hopefully the last AppIcon Trashcan
© 1997 AnyWare Designs
1. Introduction
There must be thousands of AppIcon trashcan programs around. It's amazing
that there wasn't one for me.
I want a smart trashcan. If I throw away something from a partition with
no trashcan (RAM disk for example) then I want it to go away. If there is
a trashcan (like on my wife's partition) I want the junk to go to the
trashcan directory. This is what EuroTrash does.
2. Distribution Info
EuroTrash is freeware. This means that you are allowed to copy and use it
for free. It is not allowed to gain any profit by selling any part of this
distribution in any form, except for Aminet CD's.
Any re-distribution has to include all files, as in the original archive,
without modifications.
3. Disclamer
By using this product, you accept the FULL responsibility for any damage or
loss that might occur through its use or misuse. The developer can NOT be
held responsible.
4. Requirements
You need at least OS 2.0 to run EuroTrash.
5. Installation
Use the included installer script to install EuroTrash. There is also a
deinstaller script that you can use to remove EuroTrash from your system.
If you don't have the installer utility, just open a shell and do the
following:
copy EuroTrash#? SYS:WBStartup
If you have OS 2.1 or higher do this as well:
copy Catalogs LOCALE: ALL
6. Program Usage
Drop drawers or files on the EuroTrash AppIcon to delete them. If there is
a trashcan on the same volume as the dropped things, they will be moved to
the trashcan instead.
7. Configuration
There are several tooltypes available for use in EuroTrash.info. These are:
DONOTWAIT - Ignore this one.
LEFTEDGE - Specify the X coordinate of where the AppIcon will appear.
TOPEDGE - Specify the Y coordinate of where the AppIcon will appear.
ICONNAME - This is the text that will appear beneath the trashcan
AppIcon.
ICONFILE - Specify a trashcan icon which EuroTrash will use instead of its
own. Leave out the ".info" extension.
TRASHPATH - This is the path where EuroTrash will look for the trashcan.
Address it relative to the current volume like this:
TRASHPATH=:trashcan
ASK - Yes or no. If yes, a requester will ask politely before
actually deleting anything. Moving to trashcan is always
quiet though.
8. Author Information
EuroTrash 1.0 was written by Jonas Hultén and finished August 23 1997.
